The Grange Guesthouse is situated in Port Ellen in the South of the Isle of Islay, only a few minutes from Port Ellen Ferry Terminal and 4 Miles from Islay Airport.
The house is a traditional 2 story stone house built in 1845 which proudly overlooks the village of Port Ellen, originally built as a Manse by Sir John Ramsay of Kildalton. The house stands in well cared for grounds and has private parking. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 5 guests offering two comfortable guest rooms with a large shared bathroom, all upstairs. |
The Front room is a spacious double room which can be easily converted for sharing by use of a sofa bed, this room has panoramic views over the village and across to Ireland. Our Family room has a double and single bed with East views and enjoys the morning sunrise. Both rooms have hospitality trays, hairdryers and TV. There is a also a guest lounge with Satellite TV, DVD player & family games.
Breakfast is served in the dining room. We offer a full Scottish breakfast or your personalised variation, as well as fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt along with pots of Tea or fresh ground coffee and hot toast.
Margaret and Harold, both Ileachs, will be on hand to welcome you to their home and make your stay on Islay as enjoyable as possible. Whatever your interests are - our world famous Distilleries, Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, only a short distance away, Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Kilchoman, Coal Ila, Bonahaven, Islay's famous Machrie Golf Course, fishing, bird watching, hill walking, local history or simply beachcombing or photography, we will be able to add our local knowledge to maximise your island visit.

Tariff : from £35 - £45 pppn, depending on season , Special Offers for 3 or more nights, we are unable to accept payment by credit card. Sorry, no dogs. No Smoking indoors.
